Building Lean Enterprise Architectures
Adam Bien (adam-bien.com)
"Enterprise" architectures are often overbloated, unnecessary complex, unefficient and too abstract - actually unusable for an average Java SE / EE project. The cause of the problem is modelling on a conceptual level - without feedback loops and Proof Of Concepts. This sessions presents approaches and best practices for the definition of lean, pragmatic and especially useful enterprise architectures with pragmatic tools like Wikis, UML Subset, JavaDoc, Annotations. Some real world architecture styles for OLTP, Reporting or "CRUD" applications, as well as approaches for unt- and robustness-testing, reuse etc. will be presented as well.
