Event-driven Architecture from Ajax-based RIA to the Backend Applications and SOA Suite
Khanderao Kand (Oracle Corp.)
An end to end event-driven architecture bridging Ajax-based RIA all the way to various backend applications would provide a consistent and flexible integration between various layers. The proposal is to use events for back and forth messaging from Ajax-based client to backend applications. The framework would be based on HTPP Pub sub, for example, the one that is available in Oracle's Weblogic Server. The HTTP Publish-Subscribe frameworks are typically based on the Bayeux protocol proposed by the cometd. We identify a need of formal event definition, a semantic capturing relationships and usage of event registry. Such framework would need to bridge EDA with SOA with a mediation service.
