The RIA Solution Space

With the ever increasing focus on enriching user experience many frameworks have been created to provide the features and tools needed for developing Rich Internet Applications. The plethora of these frameworks available today begs the question – which framework do we use? Each framework having different static and runtime characteristics, with various pros and cons, makes the task harder of choosing the right solution for an application. Moreover, the integration of these RIA frameworks to the server side turns another notch in the complexity of the framework decision process. This presentation intends to navigate the solution space to provide an in-depth view of the various frameworks and their integration solutions available for developing RIAs, differentiating them wherever possible under various factors.
